"Lambretta Outside Wigan" is a signed, limited edition print (100 prints commissioned), taken from an original pencil sketch by Neil Thompson.

A print of a simple pencil sketch which encompasses two elements of Northern Soul - Wigan Casino and a Lambretta Scooter. When Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson completed the sketch in 2005 (the original sold immediately) little did he know that it would become such a popular print, bringing back happy memories for so many people. "Lambretta Outside Wigan Casino" - the title says it all.

The print has been mounted using a classic cream mount and framed, using a black glazed "New Yorker" style frame. It's ready for hanging on a wall, or the frame has a stand to display on any flat surface.

The overall size of the frame is 30.5 cm tall by 22 cm wide, the print itself is 22 cm tall by 15 cm wide, please see image 5.

All Neil's work is done from memory. He was a regular at Wigan Casino and many other Northern Soul clubs in the 1970's. His art is a reflection of all his experiences of the Northern Soul scene. He still attends Northern soul nights - you may see him sketching the dancers out on the floor!
