"Detroit Spinner, Prep 1" is a signed, original water colour painting by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson.

The painting shows a dancer on a Northern Soul floor about to spin. To spin successfully, weight has to be shifted to one side of the body followed by a quick rotation. It's a skill few master!!

As the title suggests this is a preparatory work for a bigger painting.

The painting has been completed on 250 gram fine art paper and has been mounted using a classic antique white mount, and backed ready for framing.

The painting measures 17 cm tall by 12 cm wide. With the mount the overall measurement is 23 cm tall by 18 cm wide.
