"Get It Baby" is an original water colour painting on art paper by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson. 

The painting shows a scene on a Northern Soul dance floor. A girl in a blue skirt with a red top dancing, with her hands clasped above her head. The colours are vibrant - the painting really brings to life the energy of Northern Soul. Just looking at the painting and you could be on that dance floor! There's vibrancy in every brushstoke!!

"Get It Baby" has been completed on 250 gram art paper, A5 size, that is 21cm tall by 14.8cm wide.

Neil has been into the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's, all his art is drawn from memory. He was a regular at the Casino and many other Northern Soul clubs throughout the 1970's. His art is regarded by many people as an iconic part of the Northern Soul scene.
