"Casino Nights, Part III" Original Water Colour Painting 

"Casino Nights, Part III" is an original water colour painting by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson. 

The painting shows a scene in front of Wigan Casino before a Saturday all nighter. Back in the 1970's and early 80's coaches packed with teenagers travelled from all over the country to dance to rare Northern Soul records. The scene outside the Casino was always electric - most people with hold alls, others with record cases all looking forward to the all nighter. "Casino Nights, Part III" takes you back to those times!!

Neil has been into the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's, all his art is drawn from memory. He was a regular at the Casino  and many other Northern Soul clubs throughout the 1970's. His art is regarded by many people as an iconic part of the Northern Soul scene.

The painting has been completed on 250 gram art paper, and measures 22 cm wide by 15 cm tall. The painting has been mounted using a classic ivory mount, and framed using a slim New Yorker style black frame. The overall size with the frame is 31.5 cm wide by 23 cm tall.

The painting can be wall hung, or the frame has a stand to display on any flat surface (see image 2).

"Casino Nights, Part III" comes with a Certificate of Authenticity - please see image 6.

The painting will be sent by Royal Mail, securely packaged.
