"Dancing to the Beat" is a signed original water colour painting by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson. 

The painting shows a Northern Soul dance floor with over 40 dancers out on the floor. The colours of the dancers are vivid and Neil captures the light of the club perfectly. For those into Northern Soul "Dancing to the Beat" evokes memories of dancing to your favourite music. Pure good times!!

Neil has been on the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's. All his art is completed from memory - he went to all the big Northern Soul clubs in his time, and still gets to all dayers and the occasional all nighter. He knows how the dancers move and the fashions they wear. "Dancing to the Beat" takes you on to that dance floor, simply the best of times!
