"Before the All Nighter : Wigan Casino" is an original water colour painting by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson.The painting has been mounted and framed ready for display.

The painting shows the front of Wigan Casino before the start of a Saturday all nighter. The sun is setting, the crowd is beginning to gather, the first coach full of Northern Soul fans arrive. Neil captures the scene perfectly. He's been into the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's, dancing, sketching and painting - he was a regular at the Casino and many other Northern Soul clubs throughout the 1970's. Neil's art is regarded by many people as an iconic part of the Northern Soul scene.

The painting has been completed on 250 gram art paper, and measures 22 cm wide by 14.5 cm tall. "Before the All Nighter : Wigan Casino" has been mounted using a classic ivory mount, and framed using a slim New Yorker style black frame. The overall size with the mount and the frame is 32 cm tall by 23 cm wide.

The painting can be wall hung (image 1), or the frame has a stand to display on any flat surface (image 2).
