"Just Dance Now, Preparatory Sketch" is a signed original pencil sketch by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson. As the name suggests, this is a preparatory sketch for the bigger water colour painting entitled "Just Dance Now."

Neil's painting recreates a scene on a packed Northern Soul dance floor with over 50 dancers going through their moves. Those into Northern Soul will recognise the moves of the dancers - the essence of Northern Soul!

The sketch measures 21 cm wide by 14.5 cm tall and has been completed on 200 gram art paper.

Neil has been into the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's, all his art is done from memory! He's been to most of the Northern Soul Clubs - he's lived through it all!! Many regard his work as an iconic part of Northern Soul.
