An Original Pencil Sketch

 "One Wonderful Moment" is a signed original pencil sketch by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson.

The sketch shows the packed dance floor at Wigan Casino, looking down from the balcony. The scene is captured perfectly here - there's so much detail, the characters on the balcony, the hold alls, the record cases, the dancers out on the floor. Using pencil and paper Neil captures the dancers, the onlookers and the shadows of the Casino. Looking at the sketch will bring a smile to your face - relive that tangible feeling of being at Wigan Casino again!! 

All Neil's art is done from memory, he has been on the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's and was at the first all nighter held at Wigan Casino on 23rd September 1973. His first ever painting of Wigan Casino was completed in the week after that first night!!
