"Arriving at the Casino" is an original water colour painting by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson. The painting shows a scene outside Wigan Casino. This is the 1970's - the crowd is gathering , coaches arrive bringing teenagers from all over the country for an all nighter at Britain's biggest Northern Soul club. 

The painting will bring back lots of memories, it's sure to bring a smile to your face!

Neil has been part of the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's. He was a regular at the Casino for many years. All his art is done from memory - he captures the detail of the Northern Soul scene brilliantly!

The painting has been mounted using a cream mount, backed, and framed using a black glazed frame.

Can be wall hung, or has a stand for display on a table or desk top (see photos 1 and 2).

"Arriving at the Casino" has been painted on 200 gram art paper.

This is one of Neil's smaller paintings - the painting measures 17 cm wide (6.75 inches) by 13 cm tall (5 inches). With the mount and the frame the overall measurement is 22 cm wide (8.75 inches) by 17.5 cm tall (6.75 inches).
