"Outside the Casino Club, II" is an original signed water oil painting by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson. 

The painting shows a scene outside Wigan Casino. The queue along the front of the club is growing, the atmosphere is beginning to build, all anticipating the night ahead. It happened every Saturday night before the start of an all nighter. Just looking at the painting and you could be back there - the best nights ever!! 

The painting provokes strong emotions and memories - it would be a brilliant addition to the wall of a soul room or bar.

Neil has been part of the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's. He's visited many Northern Soul clubs and was a regular at the Casino during the 1970's. All his art is done from memory, he doesn't need to use old photographs - he was there in the glory days of Northern Soul!
