"Looking For You" - An Original Oil Painting by Northern Soul Artist Neil Thompson.

The painting shows a scene outside Wigan Casino. A lone soul fan is approaching the main door of the Casino holding a red hold all (decorated with all the essential club badges) and a blue record box. The lights from the Casino flood Station Road with the bouncer checking what is going on outside. So atmospheric!!

"Looking For You" measures 40 cm tall by 30 cm wide and has been completed on stretch canvas - that is canvas stretched over a wooden frame.

Neil has been into the Northern Soul scene since the early 1970's, all his art is drawn from memory. He was a regular at the Casino and many other Northern Soul clubs throughout the 1970's. His art is regarded by many people as an iconic part of the Northern Soul scene.
