Those who went to the all nighters at Wigan Casino often say those were the best times of their lives. The music was superb, the dancers were brilliant, the fashions were cool - those there were the In Crowd. Neil Thompson's "Something Keeps Calling Me Back" - a view from the balcony looking down on to the dance floor -captures those nights in fantastic detail. Pure nostalgia, pure good times!

All Neil's work is done from memory. He was a regular at the Casino and at many other Northern Soul clubs in the 1970's. His art is a reflection of all his experiences of the Northern Soul scene. He still attends Northern Soul nights - you may see him sketching the dancers out on the floor!
