"The Torch" and "At the Torch" are two signed signed limited edition prints by Northern Soul artist Neil Thompson.
 
The "Torch" was a legendary soul club in Tunstall, Stoke on Trent. After Manchester's Twisted Wheel closed the Torch was the top Northern Soul club in the country with hundreds flocking to the club for each Saturday all nighter. The Torch was at its heyday between 1972 and 1973 before Wigan Casino opened. 
 
"The Torch" print shows the scene outside the club, including Lambrettas and soulies with record cases. The "At the Torch" print shows the packed dance floor at the club.
 
Supplementary images show detail from each of the prints.
 
All Neil's art is done from memory, he was a regular at the Torch in the early 1970's.
 
Printed on 250 gram archival art paper.
 
Two sizes available, A4 (29.7 cm wide by 21 cm tall) and the bigger A3 (42 cm wide by 29.7 cm tall).
 
Each of the two prints comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, please see image 6 for an example.
